Práce se zabývá vlasteneckou výchovu. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, zda vlastenecká výchova má význam v současném výchovně vzdělávacím procesu. Hodnotí význam vlastenecké výchovy v jednotlivých časových obdobích a poukazuje na nelehké historické události v Československu i České republice, kdy vlastenectví a vlastenecká výchova byli zásadní pro přežití a další směřování našeho národa.
