Czech National Bank as central authority and its supervisory role after financial crisis

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je Česká národní banka jako centrální dohledový orgán a její role po finanční krizi. Práce obsahuje dvě části. První je teoretická a zabývá se historií a vznikem české národní banky, jejími základními funkcemi, měnovou politikou a regulací a dohledem bank. Druhá část se zabývá finanční krizí, jejími počátky ve světě, dopadem v rámci Evropské unie a Česka, zákonem o bankách, cílováním inflace. V závěru je uveden výhled České národní banky na rok 2014 a možnost přistoupení Česka k eurozóně.

Abstract:

The theme of this thesis is the Czech National Bank as the central supervisory authority and its role after the financial crisis. The work contains two parts. The first one is theoretical and deals with the history and the formation of Czech National Bank, its basic functions as monetary policy and regulation and supervision of banks. The second part deals with the financial crisis, its origins in the world, the impact in the European Union and the Czech Republic, the Act on Banks, inflation targeting. In conclusion, the Czech National Bank's prospect for the 2014 and the possibility of Czech accession to the euro area.
