The manor house in Žiar nad Hronom as historical monument owned by the city

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the documentation of the use of the national cultural monument the Bishop's Manor in Žiar nad Hronom. It is an important building, which was under the administration of the Archbishops of Esztergom and later the Bishops of the Banská Bystrica Roman Catholic Diocese in the past. Now, the owner is the town Žiar nad Hronom for a relatively short time. During this period the space of Bishop´s Manor is not fully utilized and also the potential that this place provides. The thesis presents recommendations, proposals and solutions that would enable the national cultural monument of the manor house to work more efficiently, in order to increase the tourist visitation of the town and this place in particular. But also at the same time be able to function in the best possible economic way, as well.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá zdokumentovaním využitia národnej kultúrnej pamiatky biskupského kaštieľa v Žiari nad Hronom. Jedná sa o významný objekt, ktorý bol v minulosti pod správou ostrihomských arcibiskupov a neskôr biskupov Banskobystrickej rímskokatolíckej diecézy. V súčasnej dobe je pomerne krátko vo vlastníctve mesta Žiar nad Hronom a nemá ešte naplno využité všetky svoje priestory a potenciál, ktorý poskytuje. V práci sú uvedené doporučenia a návrhy riešení, na základe ktorých by bolo možné efektívnejšie fungovať a využiť národnú kultúrnu pamiatku kaštieľa v Žiari nad Hronom, aby zvýšila turistickú návštevnosť mesta a najmä tohto miesta, ale zároveň dokázala aj čo najlepšie ekonomicky fungovať.
