Adaptation capability of the foot to the temperature changes and its application in physiotherapy

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je využít teoretických poznatků z fyziologie a dostupných studií o schopnostech adaptace nohou na chlad s následným návrhem využití ve fyzioterapii. K hledání studií bylo využito portálu EBSCO Discovery Service. V první až třetí kapitole práce jsou stručně popsány fyziologické procesy v závislosti na struktuře a funkci orgánů podílejících se na termoregulaci a dále vliv vnějších podmínek na termoregulaci a způsoby měření teploty. Čtvrtá až šestá kapitola je zaměřena na role nohou v termoregulaci organismu, jejich adaptační schopnost a vlivy podmiňující úroveň adaptace v termoregulaci. Hlavním přínosem je potvrzení schopnosti adaptace nohy na chlad zvýšením teploty a snížení vnímané bolesti, což vede ke zvýšení celkového tělesného komfortu a snížení náchylnosti organismu k nemoci. Znalost souvislostí v termoregulaci a adaptaci nohou na chlad může ovlivnit volbu a způsob terapie nohy.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to use theoretical knowledge of physiology and available studies on the ability of foot adaptation to cold with the subsequent use in physiotherapy. The EBSCO Discovery Service portal was used to search for studies. In first three chapters, physiological processes depending on the structure and function of the organs involved in thermoregulation and the influence of external conditions on thermoregulation and methods of temperature measurement are briefly described. From the fourth to the sixth chapter, the role of the feet in thermoregulation of the organism, their adaptive ability and factors influencing the level of adaptation in thermoregulation are described. The main benefit is confirming the ability to adapt the foot to cold by increasing the foot temperature and reducing the perceived pain, leading to increased overall body comfort and reduced susceptibility to the disease. Knowledge of the connections in thermoregulation and adapting your feet to cold can affect the choice and way of foot therapy.
