Identifying risks in the company and a proposal to management

Abstract:

Tato práce řeší způsob řízení rizik ve vybraném podniku. Diplomová práce je založena na zodpovězení otázky: „Má zkoumaný subjekt zaveden systém řízení rizik v souladu s obecně uznávanými principy?“ Cílem této práce je identifikovat rizika v lyžařském středisku, zhodnotit současný stav řízení rizik pomocí auditu a následně na základě provedených analýz případně navrhnout podniku systém řízení rizik. Pro tuto práci byl osloven lyžařský areál Špindlerův Mlýn v současnosti provozovaný společností MELIDA, a.s. V práci byly využity metody empirické a logické: pozorování, rozhovor, analýza a syntéza. Proběhlo úvodní pozorování, dle kterého byla identifikována rizika podniku. Byly uskutečněny rozhovory s manažery organizace týkající se všeobecného fungování managementu rizik a konkrétních řešení identifikovaných rizik v různých částech provozu. Na základě analýzy je v současné době považován za největší problém systém risk managementu. V práci byla vytvořena návrhová opatření ke zlepšení systému, bylo navrženo hodnocení rizik, možný způsob řízení konkrétních rizik, cíle pro následující období a byla zmíněna další doporučení. Tyto návrhy by měly vést k úspěšnému obnovení certifikace kvality ISO 9001:2016, která nově zahrnuje oblast práce s riziky. Výzkumná otázka byla zodpovězena negativně a cíl byl splněn.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the way risk management is managed in a selected company. The Master’s thesis is based on answering the following question: “Does the respective subject have risk management system in accordance with generally accepted principles?” The aim of this work is to identify the risks in the ski resort, to evaluate the current state of the risk management through audit and subsequently, to propose a risk management system based on the analyses accomplished. For this theses, the ski resort Spindleruv Mlyn was chosen. It is currently operated by MELIDA, a.s. Empirical and logical methods such as observation, interview, analysis and synthesis have been used. An initial observation was carried out to identify the company's risks. The managers have been interviewed on the topics of the general functioning of risk management, and specific solutions on the identified risks in various parts of operations. Based on the analysis, system of risk management is currently considered as the biggest problem in the company. Specific solutions have been designed for the system improvement. Also, risk evaluation, as well as possible way of managing specific risks, goals for the future period and further recommendations were suggested. These proposals should lead towards the successful renewal of the ISO 9001:2016 quality certification, which also includes the risk issue. The research question was answered negatively and the goal was fulfilled.
