This thesis deals with masculinity in two novels by the Norwegian authors Agnar Mykle and Karl Ove Knausgård. With a starting point in the inner dialogues that the main characters engage in, the analyses examine how the main characters view masculinity in general and their masculine performances in relation to an internalised ideal. Tato práce pojednává o maskulinitě ve dvou románech norských autorů Agnara Mykleho a Karla Ove Knausgårda.
