The attitudes of czech beer drinker in the connection with COVID-19

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá změnou spotřeby piva tradičních českých pivařů během celostátního lockdownu, který byl vyhlášen vládou ČR na jaře roku 2022 v souvislosti s pandemií COVID-19. Cílem práce je popsat změny ve spotřebě piva a určit faktory, díky kterým ke změnám došlo. Teoretická část shrnuje sledovanou problematiku na globální úrovni. Pro praktickou část byla zvolena interpretační fenomenologická analýza, přičemž výpovědi s dobrovolníky byly vedeny pomocí me-tody focus groups. Výzkum se zaměřil na určitou skupinu lidí z tzv. „dělnické profese“. Na základě analýzy bylo zjištěno, že se spotřeba piva v daném období snížila, a je možné konstatovat, že největší roli sehrály faktory uzavření provozoven a sociální odloučení. Dále byl identifikován nový trend v konzumaci piva tzv. „garážové popíjení piva“.

Abstract:

This master´s thesis deals with the beer consumption by traditional czech beer drinker during the nationwide lockdown, which was announced by the Czech government in the spring of 2022 in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic. The main aim of this work is to describe the changes in beer consumers and determine the factors that led to the change. The theoretical part summarizes the issues at the global level. Interpretive phenomenological analysis was chosen for the practical part, statements with volunteers were conducted using the focus groups method. The research focused on a certain group of people from the so-called "worker´s profession". Based on the analysis, it was found that beer consumption decreased in the given period, when the factors of closure and social separation played the largest role. A new trend in beer consumption "garage beer drinking", was identified.
