Tato práce se zabývá analýzou názorů Johna Stuarta Milla na jednotlivce a společnost. Millova koncepce je srovnána s tehdejšími obdobně ucelenými pohledy na společnost Augusta Comta a Herberta Spencera. V práci je také poskytnut prostor pozdějším interpretacím a kritikám Isaiaha Berlina a Josepha Hamburgera. Abstract:
This thesis analyzes John Stuart Mill's ideas about an individual and society. Mill's conception is compared to coherent ideas of Auguste Comte and Herbert Spencer which were similarly complex and conceived in the same time period.
