This diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of African American Vernacular English and the comparison with Standard English in a literary work A Raisin in the Sun by a black playwright Lorraine Hansberry. The secondary analysis preoccupies with the broadness of characters’ AAVE and their motivation for the different degree of use.
