Differences in perceiving alcoholism 15years ago and now

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na alkoholismus, jeho proměny v posledních pár letech a účinnosti boje států proti tomuto fenoménu, ale především se zaměřujeme na alkohol ve spojení s mladými lidmi, a to jak u vysokoškoláků a středoškoláků, tak i u dětí na základních školách. V prvních kapitolách je popsán alkohol, jeho účinky na lidské tělo i chování. Dále jsou zde uvedeny fáze alkoholismu a problémy, které způsobuje nadměrné pití alkoholu u různých skupin obyvatelstva, jako jsou těhotné ženy, nebo rozdíl mezi alkoholikem mužem a ženou. Jsou zde také uvedeny některé formy boje proti němu a následně pak druhy zařízení určené pro lidi, kteří mu více či méně propadli. V závěrečných dvou kapitolách je prezentován samotný výzkum vážící se k této práci, a to je právě výzkum proměny ve spotřebě alkoholu mladými lidmi, z něhož můžeme vyčíst, že i přes veškerou snahu státu, jeho zákonů a opatření, se spotřeba alkoholu u mladých lidí, ale i u všech ostatních, zvyšuje. Tím je způsobeno, že se úměrně k tomu zvyšuje i počet závislých, což je v porovnání s ostatními členskými státy EU jedna z nejhorších bilancí vůbec.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the theme of alcoholism, its changes during past years and the effect of fights of various states against this phenomenon. It mainly concentrates on alcoholism in connection with youngsters such as university students, secondary school students and also pupils at primary schools. The first part describes alcoholism, its effect on human body and behaviour. Further it describes the phases of alcoholism and problems that are caused by immoderate alcohol consumption by various groups of people such as pregnant women, or the difference among men and women. There are also interpreted various methods how to fight against this phenomenon and also all the kinds of facilities for people who failed for it. The last two chapters describe the actual research connected to this thesis and it is focused on the alcohol consumption among youngsters. This research clearly states that although the state tries to change it thanks to various laws and precautions, the alcohol consumption is increasing within all the groups, not only with youngsters. This also means that the number of habitual drunkards increases which is in comparison with EU one of the worst balances.
