The Current Legal Regulations Governing Building Societies

Abstract:

Diplomová práce ,,Současná právní úprava stavebních spořitelen" se kromě úpravy stavebních spořitelen působících na území České republiky zabývá i dalšími skutečnostmi, které považuji pro toto téma diplomové práce za nezbytné. Nejdříve jsem se zaměřila na historický vývoj stavebního spoření a vznik stavebních spořitelen ve světě.Ve třetí kapitole jsme se věnovala současné právní úpravě stavebních spořitelen, jejich činnosti a organizacím sdružující stavební spořitelny.Čtvrtá kapitola se zaměřuje na dozor nad stavebními spořitelnami. V páté kapitole se zaměřuji na objasnění jednotlivých pojmů, které souvisí se stavebním spořením.V šesté kapitole se zejména zaměřuji na novelu zákona o daních, která od počátku roku 2011 zrušil osvobození příjmů z úroků z vkladů ze stavebního spoření, a to včetně úroků ze státní podpory. V poslední sedmé kapitole porovnávám stavební spoření s ostatními finančními produkty na trhu, kdy nejprve popisuji vybraný finanční produkt a následně ho porovnávám se stavebním spoření z hlediska efektivnosti uložených peněz.

Abstract:

The present diploma thesis titled "The Current Legal Regulations Governing Building Societies" deals not only with the issue of building societies operating in the Czech Republic, but also with other facts that are necessary to illustrate the topic of this thesis.In its first chapter, the thesis focuses on the historical development of building savings schemes and on the establishment of building societies around the world.The third chapter discusses the current legal regulations governing building societies and their activities, and organisations associating building societies.The fourth chapter focuses on the supervision of building societies. The fifth chapter focuses on explaining the individual terms related to building savings schemes. The sixth chapter focuses especially on the amendment to the Tax Act, which, as of the beginning of 2011, abolished the income exemption from the interest arising from building savings deposits, including government support.The concluding chapter compares building savings schemes with other financial products on the market by describing a chosen financial product first and then comparing it with building savings schemes in regards to the efficiency of the deposited money.
