Decentralized Application Platform Ethereum

Abstract:

Dôvera v autoritu je súčasťou centralizovaných systémov, ktoré sú využívané v bankovníctve, webovými vyhľadávačmi a sociálnymi sieťami. Medzi finančnými autoritami, ktoré prevádzkujú platobné systémy existujú komplexné obchodné vzťahy s tranzakčnými poplatkami. Navyše, tieto platobné systémy sú prakticky ovplyvniteľné vonkajšími vplyvmi, napríklad politickým vplyvom. Bitcoin je implementácia peňažného systému, ktorý je schopný posielať menu bitcoin medzinárodne a bez pôsobenia centrálnych autorít a centrálnych serverov. Táto práca popisuje kľúčové koncepty kryptomien vo všeobecnosti a taktiež popisuje implementačné detaily systému Bitcoin - tranzakcie, autentifikačný mechanizmus, blockchain a distribuovaný konsenzus. Bezpečnostné dôsledky majoritného útoku a útoku hrubou silou sú tiež diskutované. V minulosti vznikli štyri súvisiace pojmy kontraktov. Kontrakt v práve, Ricardian kontrakt definovaný osobou Ian Grigg, Smart kontrakt definovaný osobou Nick Szabo a Smart kontract používaný v systéme Ethereum. Smart contrakty známe zo systému Ethereum je možné implementovať aj v systéme Bitcoin. Ethereum používa koncepty známe zo systému Bitcoin. Navyše prináša nové koncepty pre praktickejší vývoj smart kontraktov - accounts, messages, Ethereum Virtual Machine a systém poplatkov založený na plyne. Formulovali sme zjednodušený, ale realistický problém a taktiež jeho riešenie implementované ako smart contrakt v programovacom jazyku Solidity. Smart contrakt bol uverejnený v systéme Ethereum.

Abstract:

Trust in authority is a part of centralized systems such as banking, e-commerce, web search engines and social platforms. Complex business relations and transaction fees exist between financial authorities in international credit card systems. Moreover, these trust-based payment systems can be practically affected by outside factors such as political influence. Bitcoin is an implementation of cash system which can transfer bitcoin currency internationally without authorities and centralized servers. This thesis describes core concepts of cryptocurrencies in general and implementation details of Bitcoin - transactions, authentication mechanism, blockchain and distributed consensus. Security implications of majority attack as well as generalized brute force attack are also discussed. Four related contract concepts emerged in the past. Contract in law, Ricardian contract defined by Ian Grigg, Smart contract defined by Nick Szabo and Smart contract used in Ethereum. Smart contracts (Frozen deposit and Escrow and dispute mediation) can be implemented in systems such as Bitcoin. Ethereum uses similar concepts known from Bitcoin. Moreover it introduces new concepts for more practical development - accounts, messages, Ethereum Virtual Machine and gas-based fee system. We proposed simplified, yet realistic problem with a contract solution as well as smart contract implementation in Solidity programming language. The smart contract was deployed to the Ethereum blockchain.
