Commented bibliography of the reception of selected writings of Zdeněk Jirotka

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce je vytvoření komentované bibliografie recepce vybrané části tvorby českého humoristy Zdeňka Jirotky, konkrétně se věnuje recepci jeho románů Saturnin, Muž se psem a souboru drobnějších próz Profesor biologie na žebříku. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaké byly ohlasy na Jirotkova díla v době jejich vzniku a jak se nazírání na ně proměňovalo v průběhu času s organickým vývojem autora. V teoretické části práce nastiňuje Jirotkův život, představuje jeho dílo v literárně-historickém kontextu a obsahuje část věnující se humoru, který je pro Jirotkovu tvorbu příznačný. Ve stěžejní badatelské části práce přináší ucelený přehled anotovaných recepcí, jež hodnotí Jirotkovo literární dílo. Zpracované anotované prameny se dělí na recepci kritiky výše zmíněných děl, recepci Jirotky jako spisovatele a také na sekundární literaturu, která se tomuto spisovateli věnuje. Závěrečná část práce obsahuje syntézu zjištěných poznatků.

Abstract:

The crucial subject of this bachelor’s thesis is to create a commented bibliography of the reception of selected part of the writings of Czech author of humorous prose Zdeněk Jirotka. The focus of the receptions is on his novels Saturnin, Muž se psem and his prose collection Profesor biologie na žebříku. The aim of the work is to find out what were the receptions of Jirotka’s writing at the time it was published and how the receptions changed over time. The thesis contains an overview of Jirotka’s life, his bibliography set in the cultural context as well as a chapter devoted to humor, which was the author’s domain. In the main part, the thesis provides a comprehensive list of annotated receptions of Jirotka’s works. The processed annotated sources are divided into articles that are focusing on the reception of the three Jirotka’s books, articles that deal with the reception of Zdeněk Jirotka as a writer, and also a review of secondary literature that covers the work of this author. The final part of this work provides a synthesis of the findings and their summary.
