Práce má za účel zachytit etnickou identitu texaských Čechů v okrese Fayette, který se stal v 2. polovině 19. století novým domovem pro mnoho vystěhovalců z území Čech a Moravy. Věnuje se také spolku Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center, který se snaží vybudovat centrální zařízení pro ochranu a podporu kulturního dědictví. The present thesis endeavours to map the ethnic identity of Texas Czechs in the county of Fayette, which became a new home for many emigrants from the area of Bohemia and Moravia in the second half of 19th century.
