Internet - The New Art Medium

Abstract:

This work explores internet in the sense of platform for a digital artwork. It observes possibilities of internet environment for artistic utilization. It deals with the beginning and evolution of internet and a new kind of usage – databases. Another theme which this work deals with is basic principles of internet and aesthetic principles of internet artworks, which follow on character of virtual environment. It compares work of artist and programmer, whose roles blending together and interconnects are in this sphere.

Abstract:

Práca skúma internet v zmysle platformy pre digitálne umelecké dielo. Sleduje možnosti internetového prostredia pre umelecké využitie. Zaoberá sa počiatkami a vývojom internetu až po možnosti jeho súčasného využitia, medzi ktoré patria databázy. Pojednáva o základných princípoch internetu a popisuje estetické princípy internetovej umeleckej tvorby. ktoré vyplývajú z povahy virtuálneho prostredia siete. Porovnáva pôsobenie umelca a programátora, ktorých úlohy sa vzájomne v tejto sfére prelínajú i spájajú.
