Researching the actual position of drivers in a passenger car

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá porovnáním skutečné polohy řidičů ve dvou typově odlišných osobních vozidlech s teoretickou pozicí, kterou lze, na základě dostupných studií, považovat za správnou z pohledu ochrany zdraví a z pohledu aktivní a pasivní bezpečnosti. Výzkum provedený v této práci probíhal na relativně heterogenní skupině testovacích řidičů. Experimentální statické měření probíhalo v laboratorních podmínkách na dvou odlišných typech vozidel, Škoda Enyaq a Volvo V60. Respondenti nastavovali polohu v každém vozidle dle vlastních zkušeností tak, aby byla nejvíce podobná skutečné pozici, kterou zaujímají při řízení. Vstupní i výstupní data byla následně podrobena statistickému vyhodnocení, na základě kterého lze konstatovat, že významná část testovaných subjektů nepoužívá při řízení automobilu pozici, kterou lze, z hlediska ergonomie, označit za správnou. Mezi mužskými účastníky testování byl také zjištěn statisticky významný rozdíl v polohách, které zaujímali v jednotlivých typech testovaných vozidel.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the comparison of the actual position of drivers in two different types of passenger vehicles with the theoretical position which, based on the available studies, can be considered correct from the point of view of health protection and from the point of view of active and passive safety. The research conducted in this thesis was carried out on a relatively heterogeneous group of test drivers. Experimental static measurements were carried out under laboratory conditions on two different types of vehicles, a Skoda Enyaq and a Volvo V60. Respondents adjusted the position in each vehicle according to their own experience to be most similar to the actual driving position. The input and output data were then subjected to statistical evaluation, which showed that a significant proportion of the test subjects do not use a driving position that can be described as correct from an ergonomic point of view. There was also a statistically significant difference between the male test subjects in the positions they occupied in the different types of vehicles teste.
