Catholic parties in Moravia and in Slovakia and their bond with women organizations at the end of 19th century and at the beginning of 20th century

Abstract:

Catholic church was an institution which was creating during centuries an opinion on woman,her position in family and society, on education and her insertion to work cycle. Even though the church didn´t perceive a woman as equal with a man, it needed her to put its interests through, it knew that a woman as a person who raise the future generations had a great influence in family and that was what it needed. The church needed to keep itself in modernizing society and it did it trough a woman. Through a woman it penetrated into families, through a woman it influenced the men, who had in contrary of the woman, an electoral law. The woman emancipation hurt in some way a blind loyalty to catholic church, in second half of 19th century showed the critical voices on a church up, not only in progressive group, but it is a criticism of an institution and not a criticism of Christian religion, which didn´t abase the women as it was already mentioned. Even the power and influence of the church was weaken, it kept a great number of supporters, but also thank to its own effort to get closer to the modern society, especially if a social program is concerned.

Abstract:

Cirkev bola inštitúciou, ktorá celé stáročia utvárala názor na ženu, jej postavenie v rodine a v spoločnosti, na vzdelanie a zaradenie do pracovného procesu. Aj keď cirkev nevnímala ženu ako rovnoprávnu s mužom, potrebovala ju na presadenie svojich záujmov, vedela, že žena ako vychovávateľka budúcich generácií má v rodine veľký vplyv a to potrebovala. Potrebovala sa udržať v modernizujúcej sa spoločnosti a robila to prostredníctvom ženy. Cez ženu sa dostávala do rodín, cez ženy vplývala na mužov, ktorí na rozdiel od žien disponovali volebným právom. Ženská emancipácia naštrbila svojím spôsobom slepú oddanosť katolíckej cirkvi, v druhej polovici 19. storočia sa vyskytujú kritické ohlasy na cirkev nielen v pokrokovom tábore, ale ide skôr o kritiku cirkvi ako inštitúcie a nie kresťanskej viery, ktorá ako bolo spomenuté vo svojej podstate ženy neponižuje. Aj keď teda vplyv cirkvi bol oslabený, stále si udržala veľké množstvo priaznivcov, ale aj vďaka vlastnej snahe priblížiť sa modernej spoločnosti, najmä čo sa týka sociálneho programu.
