Transformation of the philosophy of education in the infospheric era

Abstract:

Disertační práce analyzuje novou edukační realitu, která je silně proměněná nástupem moderních technologií. Ztrácí se hranice mezi online a offline, většinu času žijeme on-life, v kontinuu obou dříve oddělovaných perspektiv. Technologie neznamenají jen větší dostupnost určitých didaktických nástrojů, ale celkovou nutnost promyslet novým způsobem podstatnou část filozofie edukace. Technika se stává aktivním aktérem vstupujícím do procesu poznávání, spolupráce či řešení problémů. Jako jedna z možných perspektiv se nabízí akcentace konceptu rozšířené mysli do prostředí edukace. Vedoucí k síťovému, propojenému učení, v němž se na procesu řešení problémů, ja-kožto procesu dosahování dynamické homeostatické rovnováhy v rychle se měnícím světě, společně podílejí organičtí i anorganičtí aktéři interagující prostřednictvím in-formačních interakcí v infosféře – inforgové. Práce představuje jeden z prvních pokusů o integraci filozofie edukace a filozofie informace.

Abstract:

The thesis analyses the new educational reality, which is heavily transformed by modern technology. The line between online and offline is being lost; most of the time, we live onlife, in a continuum of both previously separated perspectives. Technology means greater availability of certain didactic tools and an overall need to rethink a substantial part of the philosophy of education in a new way. Technology becomes an active actor entering the process of cognition, collaboration or problem-solving. One possible perspective is to accentuate the concept of the enlarged mind into an educational environment. This concept led to networking and connected learning. Biologic and in-organic actors are involved in problem-solving, like achieving dynamic homeostatic balance in a changing world through information interactions in the infosphere. These actors of information interactions can be called inforgs. The thesis represents one of the first attempts to integrate the philosophy of education and the philosophy of information.
