Wall map of breweries of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na tvorbu nástěnné mapy, od shromáždění dat a informací přes projektovou přípravu po samotnou tvorbu nástěnné mapy. Jako hlavní software pro tvorbu mapy byl použit ESRI ArcGIS 10.2. Výsledkem je nástěnná mapa, která podává informace o rozmístění pivovarů a minipivovarů v České republice. Tematickým obsahem mapy jsou informace o jednotlivých pivovarech, mezi které patří zejména druhy vařeného piva a celková produkce piva v roce 2013. Kartogramem je vyjádřen počet pivovarů na 1000 obyvatel pro jednotlivé kraje. Všeobecně geografický podklad obsahuje názvy obcí, kde se pivovary a minipivovary nacházejí, vodní toky, železnice a silnice. Doplňkovými prvky mapy jsou grafy počtu pivovarů podle data vzniku, diagram celkové produkce piva podle krajů a schematická anamorfní mapa počtu pivovarů v krajích.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on creation of a wall map, from the process of data and information collection, through the project preparation to the creation of the wall map itself. The program ESRI ArcGIS 10.2 was used as the main software for creation of the map. Result of the thesis is a wall map presenting information on the location of breweries and micro-breweries in the Czech Republic, including information about breweries like kinds of beer produced and the overall production in year 2013. The number of breweries per 1000 inhabitants of each region is presented by choropleth map. The topographic background contains names of municipalities where breweries and micro-breweries are located, rivers, railways and main roads. Map page is supplemented with graph presenting number of breweries according to the year of foundation, diagram of total beer production per regions and schematic value-by-size map of the number of breweries in regions.
