Diplomová práce se zabývá především analýzou díla rakouského autora židovského původu, Stefana Zweiga, z oblasti prózy. Jsou zde hodnoceny hlavní postavy z vybraných povídek a novel s psychologického hlediska a předloženy možné zdroje inspirace autora pro děj jednotlivých příběhů.
