The Representation of Trauma and Healing in The Leftovers
Abstract:
Práce si klade za cíl zanalyzovat, jak americký seriál The Leftovers přibližuje problematiku traumatu a jeho následného hojení. Za tímto účelem práce sleduje příběhové linie pěti hlavních charakterů, které zasazuje do problematiky jako je PTSD, sny, noční můry nebo také rozvod.
Abstract:
The aim of the thesis is to analyze how the American series The Leftovers describes the issue of trauma and its subsequent healing. The work follows the storylines of the five main characters that advocate issues such as PTSD, dreams, nightmares or even divorce.
