Tato dizertační práce se zabývá východní částí česko-rakouského pohraničí, tj. Euroregionem Pomoraví a Weinviertel, včetně slovenské části Zahorie (Záhoří), a konkrétně vnímáním otevření hranice a přeshraniční spolupráce místním obyvatelstvem jak v Česku, tak v Rakousku a na Slovensku.
