V této diplomové práci je provedena analýza způsobu volby prezidenta České republiky a jejího vlivu na jeho ústavní postavení. Jsou zde shrnuta teoretická východiska, týkající se možných a aplikovaných způsobů ustavení hlavy státu, analyzován průběh legislativního procesu až po přijetí novelizovaného ústavního zákona. This thesis is an analysis of a manner and form of electing of the President of the Czech Republic and its impact for his or her constitutional status. It summarizes the theoretical background concerning possible methods applied and the establishment of the Head of State, there is also analyzed the legislative process until the acceptance of the amended constitution.
