Tata bakalářská práce mapuje vývoj rozpočtového určení daně od vzniku samostatné České republiky až připravovanou novelu zákona č. 243/2000 Sb., zákon o rozpočtovém určení daně. Právě díky této novele je toto téma aktuální a sledované odbornou veřejností.
