Aggressive patient with psychiatric diagnosis - consecution of paramedics in cooperation with the Police of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou spolupráce zdravotníků s Policií České republiky u zásahu u agresivního pacienta s psychiatrickou diagnózou. Je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části práce jsou popsány základní pojmy a etiologie agresivity. V další kapitole je zdůrazněno spektrum psychiatrických diagnóz projevujících se agresivitou. Dále se věnujeme možnostmi řešení agresivity v přednemocniční péči, a to jak komunikačně, tak farmakologicky nebo fyzicky a směřováním pacienta do zdravotnického zařízení. Možnosti řešení agresivity jsou popsány i v situacích při předávání pacienta ve zdravotnickém zařízení a nadále v ošetřovatelské péči. V závěrečné kapitole teoretické části se věnujeme postupu a spolupráci zdravotníků spolu s Policií České republiky nejprve z pohledu právních předpisů České republiky a nadále popsanými postupy z pohledu všech spolupracujících složek integrovaného záchranného systému. V praktické části jsme prostřednictvím rozhovorů s pracovníky zjišťovali úskalí těchto postupů a komunikace, možný přínos vytvoření společné metodiky. Prostřednictvím kazuistik jsme zjišťovali použití medikamentózní terapie u agresivních pacientů s psychiatrickou diagnózou.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of cooperation between health care workers and the Police of the Czech Republic in the intervention of an aggressive patient with a psychiatric diagnosis. It is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts and etiology of aggression. The next chapter emphasizes the spectrum of psychiatric diagnoses manifesting by aggression. We also pursue the possibilities of solving aggression in pre-hospital care with communi-cation, pharmacologically or physically and by directing the patient to a medical facility. Possibilities of solving aggressiveness are also described in situations hen transfering pati-ents in a healthcare facility henceforward in nursing care. In the final chapter of the theore-tical part, we deal with the consecution and cooperation of paramedics with the Police of the Czech Republic first from the point of view of legal regulations of the Czech Republic and further described procedures from the point of view of all cooperating components of the integrated rescue system. In the practical part, through the interviews with the staff, we investigated dificulty of these procedures and communication, the possible benefits of creating a common methodology. Furthermore we doved into the use of drug therapy in aggressive patiens with psychiatric diagnosis, using numerus case reports.
