Retail banking as specific part of commercial banking

Abstract:

The aim of my Bachelor thesis is to show the issue of retail banking as a specific area of the business of commercial banks and from the perspective of retail banking business model and organizational model of the retail bank to highlight the key aspects of banking development for individual clients. My work consists of three basic parts. In the first part of the work I am focusing on the specific features of the banking system, on the legislation governing this type of business, on a basic indicators of the economization of the bank and on the definition of retail banking. In the next two sections I specify the business and organizational model of retail banking and I focus on the approach to the client, on client segmentation, product policy of commercial banks and on the selling of bank products and services.

Abstract:

Cieľom mojej bakalárskej práce je priblížiť problematiku retail bankingu, ako špecifickej oblasti podnikania komerčných bánk a z pohľadu obchodného modelu retail bankingu a organizačného modelu retailovej banky poukázať na kľúčové aspekty rozvoja bankovníctva pre individuálnych klientov. Práca pozostáva z troch základných častí. V prvej časti sa venujem špecifickým črtám bankového systému, legislatíve upravujúcej tento druh podnikania, základným ukazovateľom hospodárenia banky a definícii retail bankingu. V nasledujúcich dvoch častiach špecifikujem obchodný a organizačný model retail bankingu a zameriavam sa na prístup ku klientovi, segmentáciu klientov, produktovú politiku komerčnej banky a na spôsob predaja bankových produktov a služieb.
