Chicory as medicinal plant and foodstuff
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na čekanku, léčivou bylinu i potravinu (zelenina, cikorka), její popis, odrůdy, podmínky pěstování, chemické složení, využití a zdravotní účinky. Čekanka obsahuje větší množství inulinu, významného zdroje dietetické vlákniny s příznivými účinky na činnost trávicího traktu.
Abstract:
The bachelor thesis focuses on chicory as medicinal herb and foodstuff (vegetable, chicory drink), its description, varieties, growing conditions, chemical composition, usage and health benefits. Chicory contains large amount of inulin, significant source of dietary fibre with positive effects on digestive tract activity.
