Exchange rate differences and the possibilities of their securing in the company

Abstract:

Tato práce řeší vznik kurzových rozdílů v podniku, jejich účtování a rizika s nimi spojená. Práce se dotkne zajišťovacích instrumentů, především měnového forwardu. Data jsou zpracována na bázi teoretické a v druhé části je problém řešen z pohledu konkrétního podniku. Na konkrétním modelovém příkladu je snaha ukázat způsob procesu v rámci oceňování měnového forwardu, jeho zaúčtování a dopady na konkrétní společnost. Výsledkem provedené analýzy je zjištění, že pokud se k zajišťovacím derivátům ve společnosti přistupuje zodpovědně, jejich dopady jsou kladné. Na základě zjištěných dat je možné exportním popřípadě importním společnostem doporučit používání měnového forwardu na zajištění svých kurzových rizik.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis solves the creation of exchange rate differences in the company, their billing and risks connected with them. The thesis deals in hedging instruments, mainly currency forward. The facts are processed on the theoretical basis and in the second part the problem is solved from the perspective of a particular enterprise. On a specific model example there is an effort to show the way of the process in the valuation of currency forward, its billing and impact on the company. The result of the analysis is the finding that if the company accesses to the hedging derivatives in a responsible way, their impacts are positive. Based on the obtained dates it is possible to recommend the use of the currency forward for export or import companies to hedge their foreign exchange risks.
