Abstract:

Primárním cílem bakalářské práce je přiblížit historii kostela sv. Václava a farnosti na Proseku v 19. a 20. století. Hlavní důraz je kladen na správu farnosti v přelomovém období industrializace společnosti, kdy se z malé obce Prosek na okraji Prahy stává periferní dělnická kolonie a v roce 1922 trvalá součást hlavního města. Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl zmapovat období přelomu dvou století ve farnosti u sv. Václava na Proseku v kontextu dobového pozadí měnících se náboženských podmínek a populačního boomu v našem hlavním městě. Zaměří se na správu farnosti s jejím farním kostelem sv. Václava - centrem duchovního života od raného středověku. Předmětem zájmu budou nejdůležitější události ve farnosti v závěrečné etapě rakousko-uherské monarchie a po překonání válečných útrap i z doby nové republiky.

Abstract:

The primary aim of this bachelor thesis is to examine the history of St. Wenceslas church and Prosek parish (a small village outside Prague) in the 19th and 20th centuries. St. Wenceslas parish church was an important center of spiritual life starting from the early Middle Ages. In particular, the thesis will focus on the history of managing this particular parish during industrialization, (a time of significant societal change), when, notably, in 1922 Prosek, became a peripheral industrial colony and a permanent part of the capital city. Two centuries of administration, important events and changes in Prosek's St. Wenceslas parish will be chronicled in the context of a contemporary background of changing religious circumstances, population boom in Prague and during the decline of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and after overcoming the suffering of war and times of a new republic.
