Changes of the Phenomenon of James Bond in time and his forms.

Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje na fenomén Jamese Bonda a jeho podoby v jednotlivých dekádách, po vstupu na filmová plátna, v kontextu s geopolitickými událostmi doby a jejich reflexí ve filmových adaptacích fenoménu s cílem pokusit se zodpovědět na vytyčené tematické otázky v úvodu práce. První část se zabývá popisem fenoménu, charakteristikou fiktivní postavy, aspektům, které vedly k vzestupu popularity tohoto fenoménu a jeho vstupu na filmová plátna. Druhá část se zaměřuje na reflexi vztahu vybraných událostí jednotlivých dekád v komparaci s charakterem filmů, které v nich byly natočeny od příchodu Jamese Bonda na filmová plátna v 60. letech do začátku milénia. V třetí části se práce podrobněji věnuje geopolitické analýze čtyř vybraných filmů Dr.No, From Russia With Love, The Spy Who Loved Me a Octopussy v souvislosti s úpadkem britského impéria a vývojem bipolární konfrontace.

Abstract:

The work focuses on the phenomenon of James Bond and his appearance in different decades, after releasing in cinemas, in the context of geopolitical events of the time and their reflection in the film adaptations of the phenomenon in order to try to answer the questions set out in the introduction. The first part describes the phenomenon characteristic of fictional character, the concerns which led to the rise in popularity of this phenomenon and its entry to the screen. The second part focuses on the reflection of the relationship selected events of each decade in comparison with the character of films that have been shot since the arrival of James Bond on the big screen in the '60s to the beginning of the millennium. In the third part of the work in more detail in the geopolitical analysis of four selected films Dr.No, From Russia With Love, The Spy Who Loved Me and Octopussy in connection with the decline of the British Empire and the development of bipolar confrontation.
