První kapitola stručně popisuje historii použití kontrafagotu v hudbě. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na výběr skladeb pro sólový kontrafagot s doprovodem napsaných zahraničními autory. Třetí kapitola je potom souhrnným přehledem skladeb českých. V obou kapitolách je před konkrétním popisem skladeb uveden krátký biogram autorů těchto skladeb. Abstract:
The first chapter briefly describes the history of the use of the contrabassoon in music. The second chapter focuses on a selection of compositions for solo contrabassoon with accompaniment written by foreign composers. The third chapter is a summary of Czech compositions.
