Abstract:

Přelom 16. a 17. století je dobou změny základních principů hudebního myšlení, kdy se ve stejném čase setkává nizozemská vokální polyfonie a italská doprovázená monodie. Praha se stala sídlem habsburského císařského dvora a fungovala zde několik desetiletí rudolfinská kapela. Diplomová práce je pokusem shromáždit všechny dosud značně rozptýlené informace, které mohou přispět k vytvoření uceleného obrazu historie, struktury, repertoáru a vůdčích osobností kapely včetně portrétu osoby a tvorby Charlese Luytona.

Abstract:

The turn of the sixteenth and the seventeenth century signifies the change of the basic principles of the musical thinking. At the same time both the Netherlandish vocal polyfony and Italian accompanied monody meet. Prag became a Hapsburg imperial yard residence where the Rudolphs band worked for several decades. The diploma thesis is an attempt to collect all existing information which might contribute to the creation of the comprehensive portrait of the history, structure, repertoire and bandmasters of the Rudolphs band, including the portrait of Charles Luyton.
