The issue of doping and possible solutions, as an effective counterbalance to its abuse not only in sports

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je, na základě analýzy současného stavu a vývoje problematiky dopingu, předložit možné způsoby řešení proti zneužívání dopingu ve sportu a nejen v něm. Pro zpracování daného zaměření bude vycházet z historie začleňování dopingu do sportu, z dělení dopingových prostředků a látek. Zároveň se bude zaměřovat na rizika a dopady při jeho zneužívání, a to jak z hlediska zdravotního, tak i legislativního, kde budou ve stručnosti představeny příslušné orgány a instituce zohledňující dopingovou problematiku. Součástí obsahového zaměření práce je praktická část v podobě výzkumného šetření. Jeho cílem je, prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření, předložit zjištění zaměřující se na postoje i osobní zkušenosti návštěvníků fitness centra Extrifit Gym a příslušníků Policie ČR se zakázanými dopingovými látkami. Součástí výzkumného šetření jsou předem stanovené hypotézy vycházející ze zaměření práce. V závěru výzkumného šetření (PČ) bude stručná rekapitulace výsledků a daných zjištění. Vše bude pro názornost doplněno o grafy.

Abstract:

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to present possible solutions to doping abuse in sport and beyond, based on an analysis of the current situation and development concerning the issue of doping. To explore the area of focus the thesis draws from the history of incorporating doping in sports and the classification of techniques and substances used for doping. The thesis will also focus on the potential risks and consequences of doping abuse, seen through the lens of both health and legislature. Briefly, the thesis will introduce authorities and institutions dealing with the issue of doping. The main focus of the thesis includes the practical part consisting of research. The research aims to present findings on opinions on illegal performance-enhancing substances as well as personal experience with these substances among gym-goers, specifically clients of Extrifit Gym fitness center and police officers. Hypothesis developed according to the thesis’ focus before the research are also encompassed in the research. The research will conclude with a brief summary of its results and findings. The results will be illustrated with figures.
