The Contribution to the Medieval Tradition Called Regimina Twelve Months

Abstract:

This diploma work is concerned with medieval regimens sanitatis, which were the ones of the most often representing genres of medieval medical literary works. Introduction part of the work deals with the development of medicine and generally with genre regimen sanitatis and especially it focuses on so-called regimens of twelve months. The following part includes a prepared critical edition of verse regimen of twelve months according to Kremnica codex number V and its comparison with similar dietetic calendars. The concluding part contains expressions to their possible mutual proximity and dependence.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá stredovekými regiminami sanitatis, ktoré tvorili jeden z najpočetnejšie zastúpených žánrov stredovekej lekárskej literárnej tvorby. Úvodná časť práce pojednáva o vývine lekárstva, všeobecne o žánri regimen sanitatis a špeciálne sa zaoberá tzv. regiminami dvanástich mesiacov. Ďalšia časť zahŕňa pripravenú kritickú edíciu veršovaného regimina dvanástich mesiacov podľa Kremnického kódexu č. V a jej následné porovnanie s podobnými dietetickými kalendármi. Záverečná časť práce obsahuje vyjadrenie sa k ich možnej vzájomnej príbuznosti a závislosti.
