Naturalism in the works by Aluízio Azevedo
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with the Brazilian naturalism, focusing on the fictional production of its leading exponent – Aluísio Azevedo. After introductory chapters devoted to general characteristics of this literary movement and its manifestations in European literatures, it focus on the detailed analysis of the novels Mulatto (O Mulato), Slum (O Cortiço) and O Livro de uma Sogra.
Abstract:
Práce se zabývá brazilským naturalismem se zaměřením na románovou tvorbu jeho předního představitele - Aluísia Azeveda. Po úvodních kapitolách věnovaných obecné charakteristice tohoto literárního směru a jeho projevům v evropských literaturách se pozornost zaměřuje na podrobnou analýzu románů Mulat (O Mulato), Osada na předměstí (O Cortiço) a Tchyně (O Livro de uma Sogra).
