The application supporting teaching of mathematics at secondary schools

Abstract:

Tato práce volně navazuje na bakalářskou práci, při níž byl vytvořen program Goniometrie pro podporu výuky matematiky na středních školách. Tento program byl následně testován při výuce a prezentován na semináři středoškolských profesorů matematiky. Přítomní matematici se shodli na prospěšnosti tohoto programu a usoudili, že podobný program, věnovaný grafickému řešení lineárních nerovnic, by byl velmi užitečný. Na základě tohoto požadavku byl v rámci diplomové práce vytvořen program LiNeGraf (Lineární Nerovnice Graficky). V první části programu jsou shrnuty základní vlastnosti lineární funkce a pravidla její konstrukce. Dále program obsahuje množství interaktivních příkladů na grafické řešení lineárních rovnic a nerovnic o jedné neznámé a grafické řešení lineárních rovnic a nerovnic o dvou neznámých a jejich soustav. Program LiNeGraf také umožňuje, aby si uživatel zadání příkladu sám vytvořil a poté je v programu vyřešil. Program je k dispozici na přiloženém CD, lze však využívat i jeho on-line verzi přizpůsobenou pro internetové prohlížeče. Text práce popisuje vstupní předpoklady, které by měl žák splňovat, než začne s programem pracovat. Následuje popis programu LiNeGraf včetně vzorového postupu řešení příkladů pomocí programu. Poslední část práce obsahuje zpětnou vazbu studentů a učitelů.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the courseware LiNeGraf (equations of a linear inequality graphing). The application has been developed on demand of teachers on secondary schools. In the first part of the courseware the basic characteristic of the linear function and the principles of its construction are described. Further a lot of interactive exercises is presented and much more can be created by user himself. The exercises are focused on graphing of linear equations, equations of a linear inequality with one and two unknown variables and systems of linear equations and equations of a linear inequality. The goal of the excercises is to teach the pupils whole process of solving such problems and prevent them from making mistakes. In each step of the solution procedure a smart clue is easily available. The application can be run from CD or webbrowser. The first part of the thesis describes knowledge required for effective use of the application. Then the description of the application LiNeGraf follows containing also examples of solving the exercises. The last part of the thesis summarizes reactions of teachers and pupils who participated on test of the application.
