Didactics of the private education of foreign languages

Abstract:

In my thesis I am dealing with the private teaching of foreign languages. In the introduction I mention the way how I have acquired my basic knowledge in Russian, English and German. After the revolution in 1989 I started with the tutorship of English and German, and then I added the teaching. The theoretical part contains psychological aspects of language teaching, e. g. motivation, intelligence, which role the age and both brain hemispheres play. At the end of the theoretical part I state the methods which established for teaching of foreign languages during the last centuries. Briefly I mention the alternative methods which were full of expectations but no of them proved to be for a wide public. The practical part contains results of the enquiry I carried out with my private pupils. I name the basic textbooks which create the center line of the teaching and the additional materials which serve for extension of vocabulary and general knowledge. I describe a procedure of a lesson. In enclosure there are all questionnaires which served for evaluation in the practical part of the private teaching of foreign languages.

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám soukromou výukou cizích jazyků. V úvodní části se zmiňuji, jak jsem já sama získala základy jazyků ruštiny, angličtiny a němčiny. Po revoluci v roce 1989 jsem začala s doučováním německého a anglického jazyka, poté jsem přidala i výuku. Teoretická část obsahuje psychologické aspekty výuky jazyků, jako jsou motivace, inteligence, jakou roli hraje věk a obě mozkové hemisféry. V závěru teoretické části uvádím metody, které se v průběhu posledních staletí prosazovaly pro výuku cizích jazyků. Krátce se zmiňuji o alternativních metodách, do kterých byly vkládány velké naděje, ale žádná se neosvědčila pro širokou veřejnost. Praktická část obsahuje výsledky ankety, kterou jsem prováděla u svých privátních žáků. Uvádím přehled všech základních učebnic, které tvoří osu výuky a poté dodatkové materiály, jež slouží ke zpestření učiva a rozšíření jak slovní zásoby, tak i všeobecných vědomostí. Popisuji průběh vyučovací hodiny. V příloze jsou zaznamenány všechny dotazníky, které sloužily ke zpracování praktické části - vyhodnocení soukromé výuky jazyků.
