Cílem této diplomové práce je vytvořit souhrnný pohled na čas jako na právní kategorii a obeznámit se s vybranými instituty, které jsou s plynutím času v blízké souvislosti. Diplomová práce je konstruována do tří částí. První část se zabývá charakteristikou samotných právních skutečností, a to z hlediska pojmu, funkcí a jejich členění. To conclude, this thesis has been written in aim of explaining time as a legal construct, explaining how time diffuses into civil law and its institutes and how important it is to recognize the flow of the time when in a legal setting.
