Tato bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá recepcí antických mýtů ve fantasy sérii Percy Jackson a Olympané od amerického spisovatele Ricka Riordana. Hlavním cílem je postihnou proměnu původních mýtů. Na vybraných pasážích jsou ukázány paralely Riordanových románů s putováním Odyssea. Dále je kladen důraz na vztah antiky se současností, stejně jako na čas a prostor, ve kterém se mýty odehrávají. This bachelor's thesis focuses on the reception of the classical myths in the fantasy series Percy Jackson and the Olympians by American writer Rick Riordan. The primary goal is to examine the transformation of original myths. Selected passages are used to show the parallels between Riordan's novels and the journey of Ulysses.
