Explication of the Golden Ratio in Aesthetics

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce Explikace zlatého řezu v estetice zpracovává téma zlatého řezu, přičemž se zaměřuje zejména na jeho zachycení v oblasti estetiky. Chronologicky je zde popsán vývoj zlatého řezu od starověku až do první poloviny dvacátého století. Dále jsou zde vysvětleny základní pojmy související s tímto poměrem. Cílem práce je nastínit pohled na problematiku zlatého řezu z estetického hlediska a pomocí analýzy a komparace textů přiblížit a popsat aplikaci zlatého řezu v umění.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis Explication of the Golden Section in Aesthetics introduces the theme of golden section, mainly aiming at its influence in the sphere of aesthetics. Withal it presents a syllabus of the golden section history from the ancient era till the first decades of 20th century. Further, there is an explanation of the fundamental terms closely connected with the golden section itself. The goal of this thesis is to depict the insight on the problematic of the golden section from the aesthetical view and with the essential help of the analysis and comparison to describe the application of the golden section in art.
