Reading Pinocchio via Giorgio Manganelli's parallel book

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the book entitled ‘‘Le avventure di Pinocchio‘‘by Carlo Collodi and the book “Pinocchio: un libro parallelo“ by Giorgio Magnanelli. In the thesis I show a different point of view on a well-known children’s book, specifically Giorgio Manganelli’s point of view. In my thesis I introduce to the reader a little-known term narrative gaps. Subsequently, the specific gaps in Pinocchio’s adventures are analyzed using Manganelli’s parallel book. The main goal of this thesis is to prove an contribution of Manganelli who discovers hidden thoughts and tranforms this way the children book into the matures book.

Abstract:

Předložená bakalářská práce se věnuje dílu ,,Le avventure di Pinocchio“ od Carla Collodiho a dílu ,,Pinocchio: un libro parallelo‘‘ od Giorgia Manganelliho. V práci ukazuji jiný pohled na známou knihu pro děti, a to konkrétně pohled Giorgia Manganelliho. V mé práci přibližuji čtenáři málo známý termín mezera ve vyprávění. Následně jsou konkrétní mezery vyskytující se v Pinocchiově dobrodružstvích analyzovány pomocí Manganelliho paralelní knihy. Cílem práce je dokázat přínos Manganelliho, který přináší na denní světlo skryté myšlenky čímž umožňuje dětské knize stát se knihou pro dospělé.
