The cutting garden

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá aktuálním tématem květinových zahrad pro pěstování květin k řezu. Teoretickou část práce je tvořena literární rešerší, kde je důkladně rozebírán historický vývoj pěstování řezaných květin a obecně vývoj květinové zahrady pro řez květin a to zejména na území Velké Británie a České republiky. Dále je v této části práce nastíněna momentální situace řešeného tématu ve zmíněných zemích a doporučení pro navrhování, realizaci, provoz a výběr vhodného sortimentu květinové zahrady k řezu květin. Praktická část práce je rozdělena na popis čtyř navštívených referenčních příkladů květinové zahrady k řezu květin a na návrhové řešení modelové zahrady stejného využití. Návrh zahrady vychází jak z poznatků uvedených v teoretické části, tak z referenčních příkladů a provedených analýz řešeného území. Výsledné řešení je vypracováno na úrovni architektonické studie, ale některé dílčí části jdou až do podrobnosti dokumentace pro provedení stavby.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the up to date topic of cutting gardens. The theoretical part consists of the background research, where the development of the plant growing is analyzed in great detail and overall development of the cutting garden is discussed with the particular concern paid to the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic. In this part is also described the current situation in the mentioned countries, as well as recommendations for design, realization, running and choice of suitable range of plants for the cutting garden. The practical part is divided into the description of the four visited cutting gardens and the design of the one. The design of the garden arises from the knowledge gathered at the theoretical part, as well as from the visited gardens and the analyzed area. The solution is designed in the form of architectural study, but some of the parts are developed into great detail suitable for the construction of the garden.
