Implementation of diffusion filters for scikit-image

Abstract:

The goal of this thesis is the implementation of various diffusion filters in the Python programming language - primarily linear diffusion, nonlinear isotropic diffusion, nonlinear anisotropic diffusion (in particular the edge-enhancing diffusion and the coherence-enhancing diffusion) and their integration to the scikit-image open-source image processing library. The thesis contains detailed descriptions of all the mentioned diffusion filters with applications, the implemented programming interface of the newly added methods, and the integration process to scikit-image.

Abstract:

Predmetom tejto práce je implementácia difúznych filtrov v programovacom jazyku Python, predovšetkým lineárnej difúzie, nelineárnej izotropnej difúzie, nelineárnej anizotropnej difúzie (konkrétne difúzia zvýrazňujúca hrany a difúzia zvýrazňujúca koherentné štruktúry)~a~ich integrácia do open-source knižnice scikit-image. Práca obsahuje detailný popis spomenutých difúzií, spôsob ich využitia, programátorské rozhranie pridaných metód na realizáciu difúzií~a~postup pri integrácii do scikit-image.
