Commandry of the Teuthonic order in Brod

Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje nejen na rekonstrukci vývoje řádové komendy v dnešním Havlíčkově Brodě po celou dobu její existence od 13. do 15. století. Poskytuje také částečný vhled do organizace řádu,za účelem zařazení komendy do jeho organizačního systému. V práci lze nalézt interpretaci klíčových pramenů k dějinám komendy,shromáždění a zhodnocení komplexnosti zpracování již existující literatury, její vzájemné srovnání a revizi. Havlíčkobrodská/německobrodská komenda může posloužit častojako indikátor, dokládající teze, vztahující se ke klíčovým momentům vývoje řádu a jeho držby v českém království i jejich následkům. K těmto momentům patří aktivita řádu ve vnitřní kolonizacizemě, vztahy s panovníky, a ekonomické projevy těžkých ran, které řád utrpěl s počátkem 15. století.

Abstract:

The point of the thesis is not only to reconstruct the evolution of the Teutonic Order's commandry in today’s Havlíčkův Brod for its whole existence from 13th to 15th century. It brings also a brief insight into the organisation of the Order, in effort to classify the commandry to the Order’s system. In the work you can find the interpretation of the crucial sources to the history of the commandry as well as the attempt to gather and evaluate already existing literature, its comaprison and revision. The commandry in Havlíčkův/Německý Brod can also be used to prove the theories about the key points of the Order’s history and its property in Czech Kingdom. Points like Order’s participation on the colonisation and cultivation of the landscape, relationship with the ruler, and even economic issues that followed the heavy blows which Order suffered at the beginning of 15th century.
