Safety of credit cards

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá bezpečností platebních karet. Teoretická část je zaměřena na vývoj, historii a charakteristiku jednotlivých typů platebních karet. Jsou zde uvedeny jednotlivé druhy metod, jak banky chrání a zabezpečují platební karty proti zneužití. Aplikační část se zabývá charakteristikou karetního trhu v České republice. Jsou zde vysvětleny jednotlivé druhy rizik a podvodů, které se mohou při používání platebních karet vyskytnout. Kde a jakým způsobem ke zneužívání platebních karet dochází. Na závěr jsou uvedeny způsoby, jak lze předejít zneužití platebních karet.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with security of payment cards. The theoretical part is focused on the development, history and characteristics of different types of payment cards. They are given various kinds of methods to protect and secure the bank credit card abuse. Application section discusses characteristics of the card market in the Czech Republic. Are explained various types of risk and fraud, which may be the use of payment cards occur. Where and how the abuse of credit cards there. The conclusions are given ways to prevent the misuse of credit cards.
