Abstract:
Tato práce se zaměřuje na vztah mezi negativně polaritními výrazy (zkráceně nazývané NPI) a monotonních úsudcích. Jejím cílem je zjistit, jestli jsou NPI markery pro vyplývání dolů a mohou tak pomoct s monotonními úsudky, nebo ne. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na problematiku NPI a NPI licensování a předchozí práce zaměřené na jejich vztah s monotonními úsudky. Poté je udělán experiment ve formě dotazníků …more
Abstract:
This thesis focuses on the relationship between Negative Polarity Items (NPIs for short) and monotonicity inferences. Its goal is to find out whether NPIs are markers of Downward Entailing inference and can help facilitate monotonicity inferences, or not.
