Bulk Stores in Czechia and Their Problems

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice obalů a prodejnám nabízející sortiment, který není předem v obalu umístěn. V teoretické části se nejprve zabývá historií vývoje obalů, jejich funkcemi, marketingovým využitím a ekologickým problémům spojeným s jejich používáním. Jelikož mají obaly nepříznivý ekologický dopad, věnuje se dále tato práce obchodům nabízející své zboží bez obalu. Přitom přibližuje i trend zero waste, jehož následovatelé se snaží na osobní úrovni redukovat vznik odpadů na minimum. V praktické části jsou odhaleny motivace a problémy provozovatelů prodejen s bezobalovým sortimentem a také způsob jejich distribuce bezobalového zboží a chování zákazníka ve vztahu k redukci obalů, díky čemuž tato práce popisuje, v jaké míře bezobalové prodejny plní svůj účel a jak se jim daří předcházet vzniku obalů.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of packaging and stores offering the assortment, which is not placed in the packaging in advance. In the theoretical part, it first deals with the history of packaging development, its functions, marketing and environmental problems associated with its use. As the packaging has an adverse environmental impact, this thesis is also working on the shops offering its goods unpacked. It also approaches the trend of zero waste, whose successors are trying at a personal level to reduce waste to a minimum. The practical part explains the motivation and problems of shoppers with unpacked assortment as well as the way of their distribution of zero-packaging goods and customer's behaviour in relation to the reduction of packaging, which explains the extent to which the unpacked stores fulfil their purpose and how they manage to prevent packaging.
