Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá odrazem cyklu artušovských legend v díle J. R. R. Tolkiena, konkrétně se zaměřuje na autorovu trilogii Pán prstenů. Práce se dělí na dvě části, přičemž první oddíl nastiňuje autorův život, inspirační vlivy a následně postihuje artušovské legendy a jejich stručný vývoj. Abstract:
The thesis deals with the reflection of the Arthurian legends in the J. R. R. Tolkien’s trilogy The Lord of the Rings. The work is divided into theoretical and practical sections. The first part outlines author’s life, his sources of inspiration and influence, and the brief course of the Arthurian legends.
