Occurrence of atypical salmonella in food in the EU 2013-2018

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřená na výskyt atypických salmonel v potravinách v Evropské unii od roku 2013 až do roku 2018. Cílem práce bylo popsat vývoj trendu jejich výskytu za posledních šest let, který je důležitý k posouzení, zda všechna preventivní opatření přijatá Evropskou unií vedou k cílenému snižování počtu těchto nákaz. Existuje přes 2 500 sérotypů salmonel, pro člověka jsou důležité pouze vybrané druhy, kterých je méně než 100, protože jen ty, mohou u jedince způsobovat onemocnění. Pro zpracování práce byla použita většinou zahraniční elektronická literatura a systém RASFF. V závěru se práce zabývá vývojem trendu vybraných dvaceti atypických salmonel za šest let, který je stabilní, vyjma roku 2014 a 2016, kdy došlo ke snížení počtu případů. Nejčastěji se objevovala S. Infantis a nejvíce zasaženou zemí bylo Spojené Království.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the occurrence of atypical salmonella in foodstuffs in the Europian Union since 2013 to 2018. The aim of this work was to describe the trend of their occurrence in the last six years, which is important to assess whether all preventive measures taken by Europian Union result in the reduction of number of these infections. There are over 2,500 salmonella serotypes all over the world; just specific types, less than 100, are important to humans, since only those can cause disease. Mostly foreign electronic literature and the RASFF system were used for the thesis. At the end of the work, I deal with the trend development of selected twenty atypical salmonella in given six years, which is stable, except in 2014 and 2016, when the number of cases decreased. The most frequented type was S. Infantis and the United Kingdom was the most affected country.
