Socialization and rituals in the family (The rite of passage entering the 1st class)

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá přechodovým rituálem vstupu do první třídy, konkrétně z pohledu matky a samotného dítěte. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a empirickou. V první kapitole teoretické části je nejprve popsán přechod z mateřské školy na základní školu a s tím související pojmy a socializace. Následně je v této části věnován prostor vývoji dítěte v období přechodového rituálu vstupu do první třídy a školní zralosti. Druhá kapitola teoretické části se zaměřuje na rituály. Jsou zde vymezeny přechodové rituály a doprovázející rituály, rozdělené dle oblastí působnosti. Empirická část v první kapitole obsahuje metodologii výzkumného šetření. V druhé kapitole jsou prezentovány výsledky kvalitativního výzkumného šetření a poslední kapitola se zabývá shrnutím výzkumného šetření a diskuzí. Byly provedeny polostrukturované rozhovory mezi osmi různými dvojicemi, matka – dítě. Získané informace odpovídají na hlavní výzkumnou otázku: Jaké rituály doprovázejí přechod druhého dítěte z mateřské školy na základní školu z pohledu matky a dítěte?

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the transitional ritual of entry into the first class, specifically from the point of view of the mother and the child itself. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the first chapter of the theoretical part is first described the transition from kindergarten to elementary school with related concepts and socialization. Subsequently, this part is devoted to the development of the child in the period of the transitional ritual of entry into the first class and school maturity. The second chapter of the theoretical part is focused on rituals. There are defined transitional rituals and accompanying rituals, divided by field of application. The empirical part of the first chapter contains the methodology of the research survey. The second chapter presents the results of the qualitative research survey and the last chapter deals with a summary of the research and discussions. Half-structured interviews were conducted between eight different mother-to-child pairs. Thanks to the obtained information, the thesis is able to answer the main question: What rituals accompany the transition of a second child from kindergarten to elementary school from a mother and child perspective?
